Gentlemen,
After much contemplation, I have decided to let a dream car of mine go. I'm relatively sure that, if you're reading
this, I'm not the lone one among us to have stared longingly at this car on a poster on the garage wall. I have
chased the original owner of this car around for the last 5 years, waiting for the day when he was ready to sell.
My patience finally paid off, and off I sped in a car I was sure would be a staple in my garage for a long time to
come. I believe the saying goes, "if you want to make God smile, tell Him your plans." As fate would have it, I had
no sooner set about correcting the minimal imperfections on this car than an opportunity to own a bigger dream car
presented itself. I've thought long and hard about it, but I can't deny the inevitable. Without further ado...
I am selling my 2004 (3/04 build date) E46 M3 in Laguna Seca Blue. This car has less than 30, 000 mi on it (29, 200)
and runs flawlessly. I'll start off with every bit of the "bad" that can be attributed:
1) It's an SMG transmission (I suppose this depends on your perspective - for the right price, a 6mt can be sourced
and installed...disclaimer: if swapped to a 6mt, I may change my mind )
2) The car was backed into in a parking lot, and the rear bumper was scratched. It was professionally resprayed in
'08, I believe. This incident shows up on the carfax as "very minor damage" (can be provided).
3) I had the front end resprayed as soon as I bought it to remove the few rock chips that were present. I also
resprayed the roof to address three small areas of sap damage that marred the paint. The work is professional, to
say the least (video of entire process can be provided).
